Updated Skin Routine…

It is safe to say that all aspects of your life are altered when you have a baby. Your skin isn’t immune to these changes. Well, at least mine isn’t. My skin has changed drastically since the birth of my second. All of the products that I used to use seem to irritate my skin now and I needed to find new ones to use. It has been a process to say the least. Here are some of the products that have been working on my skin in the last few months. I haven’t used them for long enough to tell if they are having any impact on the dryness or hyper-pigmentation that I now have, but they aren’t irritating my skin any further so I think that is a win.

Cleansing Balm – Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm ($17-$115)
*Side note – I am currently working on a formulation for a cleansing balm so keep a lookout in my Etsy shop to purchase 🙂

Face Wash – Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Wash ($12-$90)
I absolutely love the smell of this face wash, but want to try the Youth to the People Superfood Cleanser about which I have heard nothing but good things.

Brightening Serum – Eight Saints Soulmate Brightening Serum ($24-$68)
I have just stared using this product so I can’t tell if has been working, but it is a gentle brightening serum and doesn’t irritate my skin.

Vitamin C serum – Eight Saints Seeking C Face Serum ($28-$48)
I absolutely live for vitamin C serums and have tried several types. This one is one is nice and I rotate this with the brightening serum.

Eye Cream – Elemis Superfood Matcha Eye Dew ($42)
To be honest, I like this eye dew, but most likely wouldn’t purchase again. While I think this does a good job at hydrating the under eye area and works well under my makeup, which I love, I think I would prefer a different eye product. I am about to turn 40 and am a mom to a toddler and infant and could really use an eye cream that battles hydration and dark circles. So the hunt is on for a new product.

Moisturizer – Native Moisturizing Facial Lotion with Niacinamide & Coconut Extract ($19.99) and Eight Saints Cloud Whip Face Cream ($14-$42)
For a drugstore face moisturizer, the Native brand does a decent job of keeping my face hydrated and I love that it contains niacinamide which helps with building skin cells and protecting from environmental pollution. The Cloud Whip face cream contains a stable form of vitamin c and it a nice day-time moisturizer.

Night serum – Eight Saints High Society Face Oil ($30-$58)
I have tried A LOT of face oils and none that I really enjoyed using. This one is it! It is lightweight and absorbs into skin quickly without leaving an oily feeling to the skin…so you won’t be sticking to your pillows at night. Though this product seems a bit pricey, but a little goes a long way. I use about 4 drops in the evening so this product should last quite a long time.

Full disclosure: I have only been using these products for a few months so I don’t know if they work for my skin in the long term. Only time will tell. I would love to hear if you all have any holy grail face products that you continue to purchase over and over.

** All products purchased by me.
